Candidate Jake Hall-Evans

Meet Jake

Jake Hall-Evans, a small business owner and Fair Go candidate for Colton, is a lifelong western suburbs local dedicated to fairness and community advocacy. From public housing to executive management, his journey fuels his fight against elitist politics and poor government decisions.

Running for the 2026 election, Jake champions transparency, equitable funding, and solutions for housing and hospital access. He’s committed to restoring a fair go, ensuring every South Australian’s hard work is rewarded, not overlooked.

About Jake

A Western Suburbs Champion

Jake Hall-Evans is a proud son of Adelaide’s western suburbs, born in Henley Beach and raised in public housing in Grange. A product of Grange Primary School and Seaton High School, Jake’s deep community roots drive his passion for fairness and opportunity. Starting at McDonald’s Fulham Gardens, he became one of South Australia’s youngest restaurant managers at 19, mentoring young workers and sparking his lifelong commitment to helping others gain skills for success.

"All they are asking for is a fair go." — Jake Hall-Evans

From Business to Advocacy

While studying commerce part-time at university, Jake rose to executive management, presenting budgets for South Australia and the Northern Territory by age 26. After a proposed company restructure, he embraced the challenge of owning a small business in the printing and signage industry. His experience showed him how government decisions—often favouring political insiders, lobbyists, or large corporations—tip the scales against hardworking Australians.

"For many, no matter how hard they work, they will not gain the benefit because of appalling government decisions." — Jake Hall-Evans

Why I’m Running with Fair Go

Jake’s entry into politics in 2018 was sparked by frustration with the western suburbs being taken for granted. Disillusioned by major parties’ internal conflicts and focus on political wins over community needs, he joined Fair Go For Australians to offer a real alternative. He believes in representatives who act as community champions, fighting for fairness, truth, and accountability, not vested interests.

"We need people who stand in your corner, who understand the daily struggles and fight for a fair go." — Jake Hall-Evans

What I Stand For

Jake’s principles reflect Fair Go’s mission to put people first:

  • Fairness for All: Government must reward hard work and loyalty, not connections or privilege.
  • Community Advocacy: Local voices, not party machines, should shape decisions that affect neighbourhoods.
  • Transparency and Accountability: Politicians must prioritize the public good over self-interest or corporate agendas.
  • Practical Solutions: Policies should address real struggles, like housing costs and hospital access, with tangible outcomes.

"Australians are tired of the blame games, inaction, and political decisions that serve vested interests." — Jake Hall-Evans

Key Policy Priorities

As a Fair Go candidate for Colton in the 2026 election, Jake is focused on delivering results for his community:

  • Housing Affordability: Advocate for policies that ease skyrocketing housing costs, helping families and renters get ahead.
  • Transparent Coastal Management: Push for accountability in addressing issues like the sand wars between West Beach and Largs Bay and algae blooms.
  • Equitable Funding: End pork-barrelling in sports club funding, ensuring fair support for community initiatives.
  • Accessible Healthcare: Fight for hospitals that are safe and capable of meeting community needs.
  • Local Empowerment: Strengthen community voices in local decision-making, cutting through bureaucratic red tape.

"Locally, we need transparency on coastal management and an end to pork-barrelling in sports club funding." — Jake Hall-Evans

A Voice for Colton and Beyond

Living in the western suburbs he loves, Jake is a community stalwart who understands the daily struggles of South Australians. His journey from public housing to business ownership gives him a unique perspective on the barriers created by poor government decisions. With Fair Go, Jake is committed to restoring a fair go—where hard work is rewarded, communities are heard, and politics serves the people, not the elite.

"It’s time to bring a fair go back to politics." — Jake Hall-Evans
