About Angela
A Community-Driven Advocate
Angela Rojas, a 42-year-old mother of three, was born in Campbelltown and raised in Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs alongside her parents and two older brothers. With Italian grandparents who settled in South Australia as market gardeners in the 1940s and 50s, Angela’s deep community ties shape her dedication to family and fairness. Her early career in retail management led to studying remedial massage at the SA College of Natural Medicine, after which she founded her own business offering myofascial massage and neuromuscular dry needling.
"I’m driven by a passion to protect children and empower families." — Angela Rojas
A Life of Service and Achievement
Angela’s commitment extends beyond her professional life. A dedicated martial artist, she trained in Tang Soo Do, teaching children’s self-defence and stranger danger classes. Her competitive spirit shone through, representing Australia in the 2005 London demonstration team and winning a gold medal in women’s 1st dan sparring at the 2007 ITSDF World Championships in Greece. In 2015, she authored Be Cautious Little Ones, a children’s book teaching her daughters road safety and stranger awareness, reflecting her focus on child protection.
"Every child deserves a safe, values-driven upbringing." — Angela Rojas
Family and Community at Heart
Choosing to prioritize her daughters, Angela took time off work to volunteer at their primary school, serving on the governing council, managing fundraising, and supporting the library and special needs classrooms. For personal reasons, she homeschooled her children for several years, deepening her understanding of parental roles in education. Living in Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs, Angela remains a community stalwart, driven by a desire to give every family a fair go.
"Parents, not bureaucrats, should guide their children’s education." — Angela Rojas
Championing Child Safety and Parental Rights
In recent years, Angela has campaigned against sexually explicit content in South Australian schools and libraries, petitioning for proper classification of materials targeting children. As a film and games classifier and co-founder of the International Coalition 4 Children, she advocates for protecting childhood innocence and ensuring parents have a voice in education. Her work aligns with Fair Go For Australians’ mission to reject ideological overreach and prioritize family values.
"We must protect children from inappropriate content in schools and libraries." — Angela Rojas
Why I’m Running with Fair Go
Angela joined Fair Go as an Upper House candidate for the 2026 election because she believes politics has drifted too far from community needs. Frustrated by systems that sideline parents and expose children to inappropriate content, she’s committed to restoring fairness and transparency. Her experience as a mother, educator, and advocate makes her a powerful voice for families seeking a government that listens.
"Politics should serve families, not agendas." — Angela Rojas
What I Stand For
Angela’s principles reflect Fair Go’s core mission:
- Family Values: Parents should have primacy in decisions about their children’s education and wellbeing.
- Child Protection: Schools and libraries must prioritize age-appropriate, safe content for children.
- Transparency: Communities deserve open, honest governance free from ideological bias.
- Fairness: Every South Australian should have equal opportunities, regardless of background.
"Families are the heart of a strong South Australia." — Angela Rojas
Key Policy Priorities
As a Fair Go candidate, Angela is focused on practical reforms that empower families and protect children:
- Parental Rights in Education: Support policies like the Education and Children’s Services (Parental Primacy) Amendment Bill to ensure parents control education on morality, ethics, and identity.
- Child Safety in Schools: Advocate for proper classification of books and materials to prevent exposure to sexually explicit content.
- Community Engagement: Strengthen local voices in school governance, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Support for Families: Promote affordable childcare and family services to ease household pressures.
- Mental Health and Wellbeing: Back initiatives that support community resilience, especially for children and parents.
